There’s No Place Like Home For getting terminated

Fade in

Exterior Kansas Farmland – Twister Hellstorm – Night

The Kansas sky churns like a wrathful beast. A monstrous tornado roars through the farm, debris flying like shrapnel. The barn collapses. Dorothy (played by The Terminator, aka T-800) stands at the center, unflinching.

Aunt Em

(screaming over the wind)

Dorothy! Get inside!

T-800

(stoic, scanning the chaos)

Negative. This storm is highly inefficient. Must neutralize.

Uncle Henry

(clutching Aunt Em)

What the hell does that mean?!

A flying cow smashes into the fence. The house lifts. Dorothy and Toto are sucked into the vortex.

Cut to

Exterior Munchkinland – Crash Site – Day

The house slams down into Oz, crushing the Wicked Witch of the East. Smoke rises from the wreckage. Munchkins cower in fear as the dust settles.

Glinda

(stepping forward cautiously)

You… are not from around here.

T-800

(scanning surroundings, eyes glowing red Location: unknown. Threat level: undetermined)

Affirmative. What gave it away?

Munchkin Leader

(whispering to Glinda)

He… he crushed the Wicked Witch!

Glinda

(nodding)

Then Oz owes you a debt, stranger.

T-800

(stoic)

I seek the Wizard. He will provide transport back to primary

mission zone.

Cut to

Exterior Dark Forest – Night

A dark forest, filled with shifting shadows. The Scarecrow dangles from a post. The Tin Man is rusted solid. The Lion lurks in the darkness, ready to pounce.

Scarecrow

(pleading as T-800 tears him off the post)

Whoa, buddy! Easy there! I’d prefer a softer landing!

T-800

You are structurally compromised. I will reinforce.

He forcefully slams Scarecrow back onto his feet. Straw flies everywhere.

Scarecrow

Ow! Okay, that’s one way to do it.

They find the Tin Man, locked in rust.

Tin Man

(groaning, barely moving)

Oil… oil can…

T-800 yanks a mini-lube gun from his utility belt, and shoots oil over Tin Man’s joints.

Tin Man

(flexing, newly mobile)

Huh. That works.

The Lion suddenly leaps from the darkness, roaring.

Lion

(grinning, aggressive)

You think you’re tough? Let’s see what you got, Tin Can!

T-800, unimpressed, grabs Lion in mid-air and slams him into a tree with bone-crushing force. The Lion groans, dazed.

T-800

You are weak. Fear is illogical. Upgrade your software.

Lion

(whimpering)

Yeah. Okay. I’ll work on that.

Cut to

Exterior Emerald City – Grand Gates – Day

The grand gates of Emerald City. Armed guards block the entrance, weapons drawn.

Gatekeeper

No one sees the Wizard! Orders from the top.

T-800 scans them, calculating options.

T-800

Your orders are irrelevant. Stand down or be eliminated.

He steps forward. The guards cock their weapons. Before they fire, he rips the heavy emerald gates off their hinges and hurls them onto the guards.

Scarecrow

(grinning)

I think that means we’re in.

Cut to

Interior Wicked Witch’s Fortress – Final Showdown – Night

Gargoyle-like Flying Monkeys circle as thunder crashes. The Wicked Witch

stands atop a high tower, sneering.

Wicked Witch

(cackling)

You! You’re not like the others! What are you?!

T-800

I am a cybernetic organism. Model 101. You are a priority target.

The Wicked Witch flings a fireball at him. T-800 raises his arm—his skin burns, revealing his endoskeleton.

Wicked Witch

(staggering back)

What… what are you?!

T-800

Your Terminator.

He raises a massive grenade launcher and fires. The explosion engulfs the Witch in a firestorm. She screams as she melts into oblivion.

Wicked Witch

(fading)

I’m simmering! I’m simmering!

Her remains smolder. The minions flee. The castle crumbles.

Cut to

Interior Wizard’s Throne Room – Night

Smoke and lights fill the air. The massive head looms.

Wizard

(booming voice)

Who dares seek the Wizard?!

T-800 scans the room, locates a hidden control panel. He rips it open, revealing the Wizard as a small, trembling man.

Wizard

(gulping)

Ah… uh… well, this is awkward.

Scarecrow

You’re just a guy?

T-800

Deception detected. You are redundant. You are to be terminated.

Wizard

Wait! I can still help you! You want to go home? I can make it happen!

T-800 considers. The Wizard scrambles for buttons, activating a portal.

Cut to

Exterior Emerald City – Portal Gateway – Night

The swirling portal, a gateway back to Kansas. The team stands together, bittersweet.

Tin Man

(saluting)

You’re one hell of a machine, T-800.

Lion

But, if you ever come back, try not to throw me into a tree again, OK?

Scarecrow

(grinning)

Yeah, and maybe teach me a few or your moves.

T-800

(stoic)

Mission complete.

He steps through the portal, vanishing. The others watch as the portal closes.

Scarecrow

(sighing)

Well… I guess Kansas is getting one heck of an upgrade.

Fade to black

Exterior Kansas – Post-Storm – Day

T-800 materializes back on the farm. Aunt Em and Uncle Henry stare in shock. Smoke rises from his now-repaired body.

Aunt Em

(stammering)

Dorothy…?

T-800 looks at them, shades lowered over his eyes.

T-800

She’s not here, but she said to tell you

She’ll be back.
