Laugh First, Apologize Later How artificial intelligence can enhance your childhood misadventures

Somewhere between our first scraped knee and last lopsided science project, we all subscribed to one simple, unshakable philosophy: childhood wasn’t built on careful planning or well-reasoned decisions. It was powered by impulse, mischief, and the kind of blind optimism only kids can get away with. Whether it was duct-taping our siblings to lawn chairs, or building spacecraft with household condiments, the goal was always the same: laugh hard, apologize if necessary, and then run like hell.

Whether or not you’ve embraced AI in your writing process, there’s no denying two things: 1) AI is here to stay, and 2) AI can enhance your writing experience in ways you’ve never imagined, by adding your own original images into your stories, essays, and articles. But, instead of laboring over each image from scratch, the simplest method is to use tried-and-true image prompts. In this piece, I’ll show you how to take a single image prompt and adapt it for an infinite variety of scenarios by adding brief descriptions of the action in to a custom GPT, like the following one wrote specifically for this task: General Hyperrealistic Image Prompt.

In this affectionate collection of misadventures, we look back at the glorious, chaotic mess of youth. And, unlike many other “hard-coded” desktop apps like Photoshop, your results will vary somewhat every time you create new images, even if you’re using identical instructions. That’s the fun (and sometimes frustrating) part of creating images using Sora.

If you’d like to create deeper, more life-like images, try remixing your images with one of the following sets of instructions:

Create this picture in 8k ultra photorealism style using Hyperrealistic, exaggerated caricature. In a comical portrait-style setting, maintaining the layout and composition of the original image. The image should capture as much facial-specific details in the original reference image as possible.
